Undergraduate student August 31 of the current academic year
Graduate Student October 1 of the current academic year
Permanent faculty and staff December 31, 2030 (unless employment ends sooner)
Term faculty and staff End of term of employment
Affiliates One year from date of issue or at the end of term of appointment
Alumni Five years from date of issue
External borrowers One year from date of issue

You can renew or re-activate your library account in person at a Library Services desk, by using our Ask Us chat, or by submitting an online Request a library account form.

Library accounts are automatically created for most faculty and staff when their employment begins. However, there are some rare instances where employees need to manually request a library account.
St. Thomas More (STM) emeriti do not automatically receive full access to USask Library resources. This describes the necessary process for requesting USask Library service as an STM emeritus.
