Returned Book Still Showing as Checked Out

Summary

Is there still an item on your account that you think you returned? Here is how the library's claimed returned process works.

When an item you think you returned is still showing up on your account, contact the library as soon as possible. It is helpful to include information about when and where you returned the item. Library staff will then change its status to claimed returned. It will remain checked out to you. Staff will search the library for the item. We ask that you also look for it in your own spaces.

The search for the item will continue for 30 days. During this time, you will still receive automatic overdue notices and/or billed notices. You can stay up to date with the status of all items currently checked out to you by logging into your library account and reviewing the Checkouts tab. If the item is found, library staff will check it in and clear it from your account.

If the item has not been located after 30 days, you will be responsible for its replacement cost
