Library Fines: Bill for Replacement

Details

If an item that you have borrowed is overdue for more than a certain amount of time, it is considered lost and you will receive a bill for replacement. A default replacement price of $150 will automatically be charged to your account.

  • Regular stack items, recalled items, and interlibrary loans receive bills for replacement 14 days after they are due.
  • Course reserve and short-term loan items receive bills for replacement 24 hours after they are due.

If you are able to return the item, this charge will be removed from your account. If the item is truly lost or damaged, please contact us to discuss the replacement price.

If you have any questions or comments concerning your bill, please reach out to us during regular working hours (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm). You can contact us in a variety of ways:

  • Reply to the bill for replacement email that you received and it will be forwarded to a supervisor
  • Visit any of our library services desks
  • Call us at 306-966-5958
