- Go to the NSID password recovery page
- Click I forgot my password, type in your NSID and click Continue.

- Select whichever option you wish to use to reset your password.

- In this example, I sent a recovery code to my personal email address. Type the code in the Recovery Code field and click Submit Code.

- Type in a new password into the first field, retype to verify in the second field, and then click Reset password.
- Adhere to the password requirements outlined.
- After entering your new password in both text boxes, check your Password Complexity. Create a password that is at least Very Good (blue) or Excellent (green), and avoid passwords that are Too Weak (red) or Good (orange).
- Make sure you store this password safely in a password manager or commit it to your memory so that it will be available to you the next time you need it.
- Click

- Wait at least 15 minutes after resetting your password before attempting to login with your new password. Please do not change your password again during this time. It will take approximately 15 minutes for your new password to sync to all USask services (e.g., PAWS, MyProfile, Microsoft Office 365 etc.).
- Return to the Extended Learning login page.
- Click
under the I already have a USask NSID heading.
- Enter your NSID and newly-created password and hit Enter.
- Continue creating your Extended Learning profile, including initialing the privacy policies at the bottom of the profile creation page.
- Once you have created your profile and see the Student Home screen, you are nowready to proceed with your registration
[+] If you do not know or do not have a USask NSID and password
- Using a web browser, navigate to the Student Portal login page on the Extended Learning website.
- Click the
button under the My first time here. Create new account heading.
- Enter your email address or phone number into the Email, Mobile Phone or Username field and click Submit.
If your NSID has been deactivated due to account inactivity, it will be re-activated at this point.

If you receive an Account not Found screen, and you have previously attended, been employed by, or have applied to USask, do not click Create New Account at this point. Instead, click Back and continue entering all possible email addresses and phone numbers that may be linked to your account.

[+] If an existing account is found:
- Enter a password you think you may have used on your account previously and click Verify my password.

- If the password is correct, your NSID will be displayed and your account will be ready for use. Click on Login to Extended Learning and sign in using your NSID and password. If this step was successful, no further action is needed. You may exit this article.

- If you are unable to remember your password, click on Recover my password.

- If you do not know your NSID, click on I forgot my username. If you do know your NSID, skip to step 5.
Enter your phone number or personal email address under Recovery Email or Phone. If you have set those up as Recovery Options, your NSID will be sent to you via email or SMS.
- Click I forgot my password, type in your NSID and click Continue.

- Select whichever option you wish to use to reset your password.

- Click Create New Account.

- Select an option with which to verify your identity, either Email or Mobile Phone.
- In the example below, the user's identity is verified via a personal email address. After entering the email address, click Submit.

- Enter your personal information, including the verification code sent to your phone number/email address and click Create Account.

- Your new NSID will be shown to you on the screen, and a link to set your password and recovery options will be sent to you within 24 hours
If you have not received a link to set your password and recovery options within 24 hours, please check your spam/junk folders in your email account.

Once you receive the email, please follow the link to set your password and recovery options.

You may be redirected to PAWS, but this is not where you will want to go. Please return to the Extended Learning login page.
- Click
under the I already have a USask NSID heading.
- Enter your NSID and newly-created password and hit Enter.
- Continue creating your Extended Learning profile, including initialing the privacy policies at the bottom of the profile creation page.
- Once you have created your profile and see the Student Home screen, you are ready to proceed with your registration.
