Sign Into or Create an Extended Learning Student Account

Using a web browser, navigate to the Student Portal login page on the Extended Learning website.

In this article:

• Steps if you already know your NSID and password
• Steps if you know your NSID, but not your password
• Steps if you do not know or do not have a USask NSID and password

If You Already Know Your NSID and Password

1. Click “Continue” under the “I already have a USask NSID” option.
2. Enter your NSID and password and click “Sign In.”
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue creating your Extended Learning profile, including initialing the privacy policies at the bottom of the profile creation page. 
4. If you receive an error while attempting to log in during Step 2 and you are sure your NSID and password have been entered correctly, go back to the login page and click the “Create Account” button under the “My first time here. Create new account” heading.
5. Enter your NSID into the “Email, Mobile Phone or Username” field and click “Review.”
   *If your NSID has been deactivated due to account inactivity, it will be re-activated here*
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
7. You may be redirected to PAWS, but this is not where you will want to go. Please return to the Extended Learning login page.
8. Log in using your NSID and newly-created password.
9. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue creating your Extended Learning profile, including initialing the privacy policies at the bottom of the profile creation page.
10. Once you have created your profile and see the “Student Home” screen, you are now ready to register.
11. If you are still unable to find your account and log in, please refer to the instructions below.

If You Know Your NSID, But Not Your Password

1. Click “Continue” under the “I already have a USask NSID” option.
2. Click “Recover my password.”
3. Click “I forgot my password.”
4. Enter your NSID and click “Continue.”
5. Choose an option to reset your password.
6. Enter recovery code and click “Submit Code.”
7. Enter new password and click “Change Password.”
8. You may be redirected to PAWS, but this is not where you will want to go. Please return to the Extended Learning login page.
9. Under the “I already have a USask NSID” option, click “Continue.”
10.  Enter your NSID and newly-created password and hit Enter.
11. Continue creating your Extended Learning profile, including initialing the privacy policies at the bottom of the profile creation page.
12. Once you have created your profile and see the “Student Home” screen, you are now ready to proceed with your registration.

If You Do Not Know or Do Not Have a USask NSID and Password

1. Click the “Create Account” button under the “My first time here. Create new account” heading.
2. Enter your email address or mobile phone number and click “Review.”
   *If your NSID is found and has been deactivated due to account inactivity, it will be re-activated here*
   1. If you receive an “Account not Found” screen, and you have previously attended, been employed by, or have applied to USask, do not click “Create Account.” Instead, click “Back” and continue entering all possible email addresses and phone numbers that may be linked to your account.
3. Once your account has been found, click “Recover my Password.”
   1. Click “I forgot my password.”
   2. Enter your NSID and click “Continue.”
   3. Choose an option to reset your password.
   4. Enter recovery code and click “Submit Code.”
   5. Enter new password and click “Change Password.”
   6. You may be redirected to PAWS, but this is not where you will want to go. Please return to the Extended Learning login page.
   7. Under the “I already have a USask NSID” option, click “Continue.”
   8.  Enter your NSID and newly-created password and hit Enter.
   9. Continue creating your Extended Learning profile, including initialing the privacy policies at the bottom of the profile creation page.
   10. Once you have created your profile and see the “Student Home” screen, you are now ready to proceed with your registration.
4. If you are not able to recover an account using your email address/phone number, click “Create New Account” to create a USask NSID.
   1. Choose how you would like to verify your identity.
   2. Enter your email address/phone number.
   3. Enter profile details, including the verification code sent to your phone number/email address.
   4. Your new NSID will be shown to you on the screen, and a link to set your password and recovery options will be sent to you within 24 hours (please check your spam/junk folders).
   5. Once you receive the email, please follow the link to set your password and recovery options.
   6. You may be redirected to PAWS, but this is not where you will want to go. Please return to the Extended Learning login page.
   7. Under the “I already have a USask NSID” option, click “Continue.”
   8.  Enter your NSID and newly-created password and hit Enter.
   9. Continue creating your Extended Learning profile, including initialing the privacy policies at the bottom of the profile creation page.
   10. Once you have created your profile and see the “Student Home” screen, you are now ready to proceed with your registration.
