Academic Misconduct: Formal Allegations

Summary

This article outlines the process for submitting formal allegations of academic misconduct for graduate students.

Body

Step-by-step

Prior to submitting a formal allegation of academic misconduct, please read through the Student Academic Misconduct Regulations.

Formal allegations of academic misconduct may be submitted to the Associate Dean, CGPS (Academic Administrator) at gradprograms.academicaffairs@usask.ca.  The allegation must:

  • be made in writing with the name of the person making the allegation (the complainant) attached to it and with specific details of the incident
  • include supporting documentation related to the allegation
  • clearly state the type of allegation as defined in the regulations

Faculty/instructors may consult with the Academic Administrator in determining whether formal procedures are appropriate for the circumstances. The Academic Administrator for CGPS is the Associate Dean.

Should the allegation of academic misconduct go forward to a formal hearing, CGPS will constitute the hearing board and follow up with all parties regarding next steps.
