Copyright Compliance SharePoint Site: Incorrect Credentials Error

Some USask instructors may need to open a private window to ensure the USask SharePoint site is using their USask credentials when attempting to access the Copyright Compliance site.

This is a well known and common issue with Microsoft SharePoint. When you have access to multiple SharePoint sites, SharePoint may want to use your credentials for one of your SharePoint sites to log into one of your different SharePoint sites. This will cause you to get an access denied message. Use the instructions below to circumvent this issue.

Step-by-step

  1. Copy the URL to the Copyright Compliance site from the email you received.
    1. To do this, right click on the hyperlinked "Copyright Compliance site" in the email and select Copy Hyperlink.

  1. Next, click on the three lines ( Screenshoot of three lines ) or three dots ( Screenshot of three dots ) in the top right corner of your browser.
  2. Select New private window (this is the option if using Firefox) or New Incognito window (this is the option if using Chrome). Instructions for How to Open a Private or Incognito Browsing Window in Your Web Browser.
  3. Paste the copied Copyright Compliance SharePoint site URL into top address bar.

  4. Hit Enter on your keyboard. This should take you to a USask login page.
