Step-by-step
Microsoft Windows
Google Chrome:
Launch Google Chrome.
Click on the menu drop-down in the upper right corner (three stacked horizontal dots).
Select "New Incognito window".
A new private window will open that says "You've gone Incognito".
Microsoft Edge:
Launch Microsoft Edge.
Click on the menu drop-down in the upper right corner (three horizontal dots).
Select "New InPrivate window".
A new private window will open.
Mozilla Firefox:
Launch Firefox.
Click on the menu drop-down at the upper right corner (three horizontal lines).
Select "New private window".
A new purple private window will open.
Opera:
Launch Opera.
Click on the Opera logo on the upper left.
Select "New private window".
A new private window will open.
MacOS
Google Chrome:
Launch Google Chrome.
Click on the menu drop-down in the upper right corner (three stacked horizontal dots).
Select "New Incognito window".
A new private window will open that says "You've gone Incognito".
Safari:
Launch Safari.
In the top Menu bar, select "File", and then select "New Private Window".
A new private window will open.

Launch Firefox.
In the top Menu bar, select "File", and then select "New Private Window".
A new private window will open.
Opera:
Launch Opera.
In the top Menu bar, select "File", and then select "New Private Window".
A new private window will open.
