Logging In
- Go to the USask Help and Services Portal.
- You may be prompted to log in and authenticate.
- Check that you are signed-in by looking for your name in the top right hand corner of your browser window. Without signing in, you may miss important resources that are only available to authenticated users.
Portal Homepage Overview
The homepage features three primary buttons:
- New to to our Portal - Learn about the portal's features and how to navigate it.
- Explore our Knowledge Base - Access instructional articles and self-service solutions.
- View Service Catalog - Browse available services and submit service requests.
You can also access the Knowledge Base and Service Catalog from the green tab at the top of the page.
Checking Ticket Status
To view the status of your service tickets:
- Go to the Services tab.
- Select Ticket Requests.

Using the Search Function
From the homepage, you can use the search bars to look up:
- All available service offerings.
- Knowledge base articles across the portal.
Searching the Entire Client Portal
- Enter your search term in the search box in the upper right corer of the Home page.

To search for items with a specific tag, enter the #symbol followed by the name of the tag.
To search for items using exact match, place double quotes around your text.
- All matching results are shown in a drop down list. Logging into the portal may return additional results.
- A light bulb icon indicates a Knowledge Base article title contains your search term.
- A compass icon indicates a Service matches your search term.
- Click on an item in the list to go to that result.
- Press enter or click the magnifying glass to see the full list of search results.
Limit your search to the Knowledge Base or Service Catalog
- Click the arrow to the left of the search box and choose to only search the Service Catalog or Knowledge Base.

- Enter your search term.
- Press enter or click the magnifying glass.
- All entries matching your term are displayed.
