Saskatchewan is committed to supporting Ukrainian residents who have come to the province under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program.
Government of Saskatchewan Ukrainian Student Tuition.
The province provides funding to allow Ukrainians who came to Saskatchewan through the CUAET program to pay domestic tuition rates at Saskatchewan post-secondary institutions, rather than international tuition rates.
To be eligible to pay domestic tuition rates at the University of Saskatchewan, students must:
- Have entered Saskatchewan under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program
- Pursue part-time or full-time studies at the University of Saskatchewan
They must also be connected to the province in one of the following ways:
- Graduated from a Saskatchewan secondary school;
- Resided in Saskatchewan for one year prior to the start of their post-secondary program;
- Or arrived in Canada in 2022 or later and have only lived in Saskatchewan.
Students will be required to provide a Proof of Landing and Residency.
Proof of Residency may includes:
- Saskatchewan Health Card
- Saskatchewan Drivers License
- Utility Bill in your name
- Lease/Rental Agreement in your name
Proof of landing may include:
All eligible applicants are still considered international students by the Government of Canada and will require a valid study permit to attend the University of Saskatchewan.
Eligible applicants will also receive a Cost of Living bursary automatically awarded, which may be received once per academic year, up to a maximum of 4 times per student.
Please note that support will be in place for this program while offered by the Government of Saskatchewan.
