NSID: Create a USask Profile

To create a USask profile for general purposes.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to http://myprofile.usask.ca/profile-registration

  2. Click Email.
     
  3. Click the Email Address text box.
     
  4. Type in a valid email.
     
  5. Click Submit.
     
  6. Fill out the following:
    1. First name
    2. Preferred name - This can be blank if you do not have one
    3. Last name
    4. Title
    5. Verification Code - Check your email for the code and then copy and paste it into the text box
       
  7. Click Create Account.
     
  8. You will be taken to the "Update Recovery Options" page. You can add optional recovery options besides your email such as a mobile number and security questions.
     
  9. Once done, click Save Changes.
     
  10. You will then have to create a password. Make sure the password follows the guidelines:
    1. Be 8-30 characters long
    2. Contain at least 1 number or 1 of the following symbols ~ ^ + _ { } | . [ ] ? /
    3. Contain at least 1 upper case letter
    4. Contain at least 2 different letters
    5. Not contain your NSID, first, middle, or last name
    6. Be different than your previous USask passwords
       
  11. Once done creating a password, click Reset Password.
     
  12. You will then be sent an email containing your username (called an NSID).
    1. The username is three letters followed by three numbers (e.g. abc123)
    2. Copy the NSID
       
  13. Use the new NSID and password to access USask services.
