New Course Proposal: Approval Process

New graduate courses are required to be approved through the following approval pathway:

1. Academic unit approval
2. CGPS Graduate Programs Committee (GPC) 
3. University Course Challenge

Submission to CGPS Graduate Programs Committee

Complete the Propose a New Graduate Course form for submission to CGPS. The submission must include:

• A complete course syllabus (syllabus guide and template)
• New course creation form
• (If applicable) For cross-listed courses (hybrid course), include the undergraduate syllabus. 

Submission to University Course Challenge

Following approval by GPC, the course will be put forward to University Course Challenge by by CGPS.
