What do I need to know about my T2202 tax form for the 2023 tax year?

Details

When submitting your tax return to the CRA (Canadian Revenue Agency), please use the T2202 available through PAWS and not the CRA My Account website. The amended PAWS PDF is correct.

After submitting your tax return and upon receiving your CRA Notice of Assessment (NOA) you may:

  • Receive a letter from the CRA asking for a copy of your T2202 PDF if there is a discrepancy between CRA information on your My Account website and the PAWS PDF. The PAWS PDF is correct, but It may take time for the CRA to process the amendment submitted by the University of Saskatchewan (up to 40 days) and display the updated information in your My Account.
  • Receive a different amount in your NOA than calculated on your tax return. Please refer to page two or three for an explanation on your CRA Notice of Assessment that the CRA will send to you. If the reason for the discrepancy is the T2202 values, then you may need to re-submit your PAWS PDF of your T2202 to the CRA to have your tax return reviewed.

Please refer to these CRA articles to understand your Notice of Assessment (NOA):
